Saxon Math

We have been using Saxon Math for our own family and our home school support academy since 1994. We like it because it is designed to continually reinforce all the concepts taught from the beginning of each course, and incrementally builds a strong foundation for academic success in math. We believe that parents are the best math teachers for their children in the elementary grades. Ensign Education classes start at the junior high school level. If you are uncertain where your student should be placed in the curriculum, use this placement test and we will be happy to consult with you on what will work best for your student. US History 1776 to 1865 Spring 2024

This course is world history taught from the perspective of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. Our history courses are organized around “key dates” which provide students with a chronological framework for the major events of world and U.S. history. The World History courses begin with the creation of the earth and the beginning of the human family with our first parents, Adam and Eve at 4000 B.C. and continues down to 1200 A.D. covering the events in the development of Western Civilization. This class requires minimal homework; mainly a review of class notes each week to prepare for a quiz on the previous class’s content. Recommended for high school age students and their parents.

Civics: US Government; America's Founding Documents

This course provides a foundation in the origins and theory of U.S. government. It begins with the philosophy of liberty and the Proper Role of Government and proceeds to a detailed examination of America’s founding documents: the Articles of Confederation, The Declaration of Independence, and The Constitution of the United States.
